We pride ourselves on being an upfront company. We want you and your pet to be comfortable with us before you leave on your vacation. In order for this to happen we need you to check us out. Call ahead and we can go through everything you need to know prior to boarding your pet. Next, a phone call is not enough, you must come visit us, meet our staff, and see our facility. Your next step would be to bring your pet in for a free trial visit. A lot of pets and people feel anxiety with the whole boarding experience. This is normal but what a better way to avoid unneccesary anxiety than with our trial visit. Looking after your pet is a lot of responsibilty and we take this seriously. Some pets may feel abandoned, not want to eat, and be very fearful. We are not your home and this will be a big transition for your pet. If during the trial visit we feel that we are not a good fit for your pet we will be upfront and honest. You do not want a call during your vacation saying that your pet is sick due to seperation anxiety. With us passion comes before fees. Sometimes a trial visit may not be enough and we may recommend a daycare here and there leading up to your vacation. Again it is hard to take some animals from your house to ours. We are here to make it easier for both you and your pet.
All pets must be fully vaccinated prior to boarding(including canine cough). Depending on the age of your pet this is Mandatory. Sometimes blood titers will be accepted.
Pet Tip to Prevent Pet Anxiety
Socialization. If you have a puppy the earlier you start the better but also keep in mind that it is never too late to start socializing your pet. Some great ways to do this can include Daycare for dogs, Dog Training School (working with your dog teaches them to have respect for their owners), dropping them off at a friends house for a play date. Even grooming your pet counts as socialization, as well as a trip to the doggie park.
If you're to busy to do these things... hire a young girl or boy to walk your pets for you.. Most of the doggie issues that are on the go stem from the fact that most dogs are bored in our society.
